Master Class featuring Michelle Malone
Michelle Malone will be joining us January 28, 2018 for a long overdue Masterclass!
About the Masterclass:
This Masterclass will be open to all students, past and present as well as their friends.
Simply put, we will play for Michelle, and she will play for us. There will be plenty of time for questions during the class and to meet ‘n greet. Michelle is an excellent, rippin’ guitar player as well as a songwriter with lots of range.
Normally I invite students who I think are ready to play at a Masterclass, but if you want to play please don’t hesitate to ask me. You and I will have a good three months to put something together. All ages are invited. I have students ranging from 5 to 81!
Michelle will discuss performance issues, songwriting tips and improvising tips. It’s always fun to get positive feedback from someone other than me!
The location is TBA, but will probably be at either the Phillip Rush Center 0r at our usual haunt, First Existentialist Congregation of Atlanta.
The time will be TBA, too, depending on which venue is chosen. We will probably start around 1 or 2:00. The class will be 2 1/2 hours. The cost is $30 per person.
About Michelle Malone:
For now, I’ll let these quotes describe Michelle’s music. She has an awesome website, too, so visit when you have some time. You’ll want to cruise around and listen to her music.
Michelle Malone reviews:
“Equal parts badass guitar slinger and sweet songstress, with masterful lyrical introspection – sublime to raucous.
-GUITAR WORLD”The kind of singer and songwriter who can jolt things into overdrive.”
– NEW YORK TIMES”raucous and jubilant – somewhere between Lucinda Williams and Shelby Lynne comes Malone alternating between soulful ballads and rowdy, riffy blasters.”
– ROLLING STONEThe soul of a bluesman, the heart of a folk singer, and the guts of a rock and roll star wrapped up in one fiery bad ass” -NASHVILLE RAGE
I hope to see all of y’all at the Masterclass!
BIGLOVE,
Bucky.
